CytoSyl 2500

CytoSyl 2500 is a hydrophobic and oleophobic coating.  On glass the coating provides good anti-reflective, durability, lubricity and abrasion resistance properties. CytoSyl is recommended for glass and other oxide-rich surfaces for fingerprint resistance, anti-fouling, and stain repellency. CytoSyl on mesh, paper, and filters forms an excellent anti-fouling agent.  CytoSyl at 100% concentration is a good replacement for Fluorolink S10. CytoSyl is also a good replacement or alternative to Novec 1720 (0.1% polymer), Novec 2202 (0.2% polymer) and Optool DSX (20% polymer).

Application method: Clean glass or metal, rinse with water and dry the substrate. Alternatively, the glass or metal surface can be cleaned by use of oxygen or argon plasma. Apply CytoSyl immediately after surface preparation. Dip or spray the substrate with CytoSyl at a concentration of 0.1% or 0.2%. Allow CytoSyl to dry for 2 hours or more. Using a soft cloth, wipe off any haze or cloudiness. The glass or metal should now repel water, oil, paint, ice, and other materials. After the cleaning step, CytoSyl can also be applied by metered rods, wipe-on, and similar techniques.
