PFC260 is a water based fluoro-polymer solution for coating porous substrates such as paper. Thin films dry in less than an hour at room temperature and provide a surface with a contact angle to water of approximately 100°. FluoroPel 260 is provided at a concentration of 20% and is diluted with water to a final concentration of 1% prior to application. [Order Sample]

FXL300 is a fluoroacrylic copolymer in propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate (PGMEA) for coating glass, plastic and metal surfaces. Thin films dry in a few hours at room temperature and provide a surface with a contact angle to water of approximately 105°. Heating will improve speed of film cure. Formulations with fluorescent tracers are also available. [Order Sample]

FXL400 refers to versions of FluoroPel in MEK provided at concentrations between 0.2% and 40%. Thin films dry in a few minutes at room temperature to a surface with water contact angles over 105°. The 400-series is well suited for applications where resistance to sweat, corrosion, tin whiskers and dendrites is needed. Fabrics, mesh, filters and membranes coated with FXL400 retain air permeability, Rayl values and acoustic penetrance with an oleophobicity grade of up to 7. PFC600 refers to fluoropolymer solutions at 0.2% to 20% concentration in a fluoro-solvent (BP=60°C). Thin films dry in seconds at room temperature to a surface energy of 6-10 dynes/cm and water contact angles as high as 125°. PFC600A at 2% is particularly well suited for coating membranes and provide an oleophobicity grade of 8. The no charge addition of silanes is recommended for application to oxide surfaces. PFC600 copolymers can be optimized for adhesion to a variety of substrates such as plastics, fiberglass, metal, ceramics and glass. PFC600 solutions may be applied by a number of methods including dipping, brushing, damming, dripping, capillary or syringe dispensing. The 600 series is well suited for applications such as conformal coatings, microfluidic devices and dry-lubricant applications. PFC800M is a fluoroacrylic solution with fluorinated nanoparticles for coating membranes, glass, plastic and metal surfaces. Thin films dry in a few minutes at room temperature and provide a surface with a contact angle to water of approximately 140°. Contact angles to mineral oil is almost 130°, near super-oleophobic. FluoroPel does not occlude pores and helps achieve high oleophobicity grades. [Order Sample]

PFC800

FluoroPel Applications Guide

PFC1301, 1302 and 1304
are one, two and four percent fluoropolymer solutions in a high boiling point fluorosolvent (BP=135°C). Thin films dry in a few hours at room temperature to a surface energy of about 10 dynes/cm. Warming to 100°C for 10 minutes optimizes adhesion and reduces the surface energy to about 6 dynes/cm. PFC1300-series solutions are recommended for spray or spin application. Copolymer solutions in that have good adhesion to plastics, glass and metals is available. [Order Sample]

PFC1601, 1602 and 1604
are one, two and four percent fluoropolymer solutions in high boiling point fluorosolvent (BP=160°C). Thin films dry in 2-3 hours at room temperature to a surface energy of about 10 dynes/cm. Warming to 150°C for 10 minutes optimizes adhesion and reduces the surface energy to about 6 dynes/cm. The preferred methods for the application PFC 1600-sereis is by spray, brush, ink jet, pad print or spin.

PFC1601V, 1604V and 1610V are one, two and ten percent FluoroPel V-polymer solutions in a high boiling point fluorosolvent (BP=160°C). Thin films are generally applied by spinning for 30 seconds at 3000 rpm and curing at 80°C for 20 minutes plus 150°C for 30 minutes. The no charge addition of 2 percent fluorosilane (PFC 1601V-FS) is recommended for adhesion to oxide surfaces such as glass. PFC1101V
is a one percent FluoroPel V-polymer solution in a 110°C boiling point fluorosolvent. Thin films are generally applied by spinning for 30 seconds at 2000 to 3000 rpm and curing at 80°C for 20 minutes plus 100°C for 30 minutes. The no charge addition of 2 percent fluorosilane (PFC 1101V-FS) is recommended for adhesion to oxide surfaces such as glass. PFC S-Series
hydrophobic inks are translucent or pigmented. Thin films cure in 20 minutes at 180°C, have 120° contact angles to water and have good chemical resistance. [Order Sample]

PFC MH-Series
super-hydrophobic screen inks are translucent or pigmented. Thin films cure in 3 minutes at 200°C, have contact angles to water in excess of 150°, and have good chemical resistance. [Order Sample]
