These coatings are fluoropolymers in fluoro-solvents or in organic solvents for coating membranes, glass, plastic, wood and metal surfaces. Thin films dry in a few minutes at room temperature to provide a low surface energy coating with water contact angles of approximately 110°.  On PTFE membranes, metal mesh and filters, these coatings will not occlude pores and helps achieve high oleophobicity grades. FluoroPel 300E is a fluoroacrylic copolymer solution in propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate (PGMEA). This is used to coat glass, plastic and metal surfaces. Thin films dry in about 30 minutes at room temperature and provide a surface with a contact angle to water of approximately 105°. FluoroPel 300E is offered at 1%, 2%, 4% and 8% polymer. FluoroPel 400F is a water and oil repellent fluoro-acrylic solution in MEK.  Thin films dry in a few minutes at room temperature and provide a surface with a contact angle to water of approximately 100°.  FluoroPel does not occlude pores and the substrate retains air permeability.  Please contact Cytonix for custom formulations with different solvents such as butyl acetate, ethyl-acetate, acetone or help with product selection.
FluoroPel 801UC is a fluoroacrylic copolymer solution in a fluorosolvent (BP=80°C) for coating membranes, glass, plastic and metal surfaces. Thin films dry in a few minutes at room temperature to a surface energy of about 10 dynes/cm. On membranes, mesh and filters, FluoroPel does not occlude pores and helps achieve oleophobicity grades up to 8. Formulations with fluorescent tracers are also available.
