FluorAcryl 6298E

FluorAcryl™ 6298E is a hydrophobic, oleophobic perfluoropolyether acrylate with excellent resistance to solvents, oils and abrasion. Applications for 6298 include microfluidic devices including electro-wetting. Substrates for 6298 include plastic, metal, glass and ceramic. 6298 can be applied by dip, spray, jet, roll, draw or screen print methods. When well-cured, contact angles to water of >110° and mineral oil of >75° can be achieved.

FluoroPel PFC1101V

PFC 1101V is a one percent fluoropolymer solution in a fluorosolvent (BP=110°C) commonly used for electrowetting applications. Thin films dry in 4-6 hours at room temperature to a surface energy of about 16 dynes/cm. Heating to 110°C for 30 minutes optimizes adhesion and reduces the surface energy to about 10 dynes/cm. PFC1101V is recommended for spin, spray or blot applications.

FluoroPel PFC1101V-FS

PFC 1101V-FS is a one percent fluoropolymer solution in a fluorosolvent (BP=110°C) commonly used for electrowetting devices. This version of 1101V is optimized for adhesion to glass, metal and other oxide-rich materials. Thin films dry in 3-6 hours at room temperature to a surface energy of about 16 dynes/cm. Heating to 120°C for 30 minutes optimizes adhesion and reduces the surface energy to about 10 dynes/cm. PFC1101V-FS is recommended for spin, spray or blot applications.

FluoroPel M1604V

PFC M1604V is a four percent fluoropolymer solution in a fluorosolvent (BP=160°C). Heating films to 180°C for 30 minutes produces solvent and uv resistant films with > 150° contact angles to water. PFC M1604V is recommended for spin, spray or blot applications where extreme UV resistance is needed. Application by spray, brush, ink jet, pad print or spin can also be achieved.
