FluoroPel™ hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings are perfluoroalkyl copolymers. Applications for FluoroPel include coating membranes, plastic laboratory devices, microfluidic devices, printed circuit boards, ball-grit arrays, MR heads, micro-motors, MEMS, and hard disk drive components. Fabrics, mesh, filters and membranes coated with FluoroPel retain air permeability, Rayl values and acoustic penetrance. Oleophobicity grade of up to 8 can also be achieved. FluoroPel is provided as a clear, low viscosity, low surface tension solution usually at 0.2% to 10% polymer in either fluoro or organic solvents. FluoroPel has also been formulated to prevent corrosion, sweat damage, tin whiskers and dendtites.

FXL300E

FluoroPel 300 is a fluoroacrylic copolymer in propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate (PGMEA) for coating membranes, glass, plastic and metal surfaces.  Thin films dry in a few hours at  room temperature and provide a surface with a contact angle to water of approximately 105°.  Heating will improve speed of film cure.  On membranes, mesh and filters, FluoroPel does not occlude pores and helps achieve oleophobicity grades up to 7.  Formulations with fluorescent tracers are also available. FXL400F

FluoroPel 400F is a water and oil repellent fluoro-acrylic solution in MEK.  Thin films dry in a few minutes at room temperature and provide a surface with a contact angle to water of approximately 100°.  FluoroPel does not occlude pores and the substrate retains air permeability.  Please contact Cytonix for custom formulations with different solvents such as butyl acetate, ethyl-acetate, acetone or help with product selection.

PFC1300

FluoroPel 1300 is a fluoroacrylic copolymer in a fluoro-solvent solution for coating membranes, glass, plastic and metal surfaces.  Thin films dry in a few minutes at 130°C and provide a surface with a contact angle to water of approximately 110°. On membranes, mesh and filters, FluoroPel does not occlude pores and helps achieve oleophobicity grades up to 8. Formulations with fluorescent tracers are also available. PFC260

FluoroPel 260 is a fluoro-polymer solution for coating membranes and other porous substrates.  Thin films dry in less than an hour room temperature and provide a surface with a contact angle to water of approximately 100°.
