overcast temperature, 31°F, with total signal loss and no picture on uncoated dish (bottom left) and 52-54% signal on

coated dish with good picture. When the sky cleared to light overcast, the uncoated and coated signals were 86 and 95

respectively, showing a signal margin of 9%, and indicating that attenuation from water in the sky accounted for

about 42% (95 minus 53) of signal loss on the coated dish. At the time the picture was taken during the storm, the

uncoated dish signal can be estimated to be 44% (53 minus 9). Both dishes register 98 to 99% signal on a clear day.
