FluoroPel Membranes 4

FluoroPel 402 is a fluoroacrylic copolymer solution in an organic solvent (BP=50°C) for coating membranes, mesh and other venting devices. Films dry in a few minutes at room temperature to a surface energy of about 12 dynes/cm. Warming to 90°C for 10 minutes optimizes adhesion and reduces the surface energy to about 10 dynes/cm. 402A is generally applied by dip coating. On membranes, mesh and filters, FluoroPel does not occlude pores, retains rayl values and helps achieve oleophobicity grades up to 7. Formulations with fluorescent tracers are also available.

FluoroPel 802A is a fluoroacrylic copolymer solution in a fluorosolvent (BP=80°C) for coating membranes, mesh and other venting devices. Thin films dry in a few minutes at room temperature to a surface energy of about 10 dynes/cm. Warming to 90°C for 10 minutes optimizes adhesion and reduces the surface energy to about 8 dynes/cm. 802A is generally applied by dip coating. On membranes, mesh and filters, FluoroPel does not occlude pores and helps achieve oleophobicity grades up to 8. Formulations with fluorescent tracers are also available.
