CYTONIX STATEMENT ABOUT PFOA AND PFOS
PFOA and PFOS are not used in the manufacture of Cytonix products.
FluoroPel, FluoroSyl, Fluorothane and FluorN are manufactured using telomer
and perfluoroether chemistry. Investigations have shown that low trace
amounts of PFOA are unintentionally created during synthesis of some telomer
based intermediates, but these levels are many orders of magnitude below
those of concern to the EPA.
Cytonix welcomes the independent investigations being set up by the EPA
to determine if there is a risk from exposure to substantial levels of PFOA
and PFOS and at what levels that risk might be present.
