FluoroPel PFC602A

Note: See Fluorothane for hydrophobic and super-hydrophobic aircraft, marine and ground radome coatings. See FluorN for fluorosurfactants and FluoroSyl for flluorosilanes.

FluoroPel PFC602A is a clear, mobile solution of 2% fluoroaliphatic polymer in 3M fluorosolvent HFE-7100. When applied to clean, dry surfaces, the solution dries in seconds to a thin, transparent film with excellent anti-wetting, antimigration properties to all non-fluorinated liquids, including heptane, toluene, acetone, silicone oils and detergents. PFC 602A provides corrosion resistance to copper, aluminum, ceramic, steel and tin.

Applications include: Printed circuit boards, MR heads, micro motors, ball bearing tracks, MEMS, Ink jet print cartridges, hard disk drive components, and TFT-LCD

FluoroPel PFC602A may replace EGC-1700 and Fluorad coatings FC-722, FC-724, FC-725 and FC-732. The product is also available in solvents with higher and lower boiling ranges, at various concenetrations, and is also offered as functionalized hydroxy, epoxy, silane and isocyanate copolymers. Selected adhesion promoters may be added on request. See FluoroPel.
